I joined the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa in 2004 and am currently an Associate Professor. I obtained my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba in 1999, following which I spent several years at Université de Montréal as a Research Post-Doctoral Fellow and Associate Researcher. I have been a registered clinical psychologist in the province of Ontario since 2006. I am interested in examining children's emotional and behavioural development and in understanding how factors within the child's environment (e.g., parent-child relationships, child care) can impact on development in positive and negative ways. I have a particular interest in child maltreatment, specifically understanding its impact on children's development and examining effective ways of intervening with children and families who have experienced maltreatment.
