Ellen Longsworth, Art History Professor, Department of Visual and Performing Arts, specializes in Italian Renaissance sculpture and painting. Publications include articles on Lombard Renaissance sculpture; early works by Michelangelo; and terracotta polychrome sculpture of Northern Italy. She has a 20-year history of annual paper presentations at national and international conferences in the United States and abroad and has been an executive Board member of the South-Central Renaissance Conference. On several occassions she has held the position of Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department.
