Bio/Research

Eric Beauregard is an Assistant Professor at the School of Criminology, Simon Fraser University and he is the co-director of the Centre for Research on Sexual Violence. Dr. Beauregard received his doctorate in criminology from the University of Montreal. His work focuses on understanding the crime-commission process of sex offenders. His interest in cybercrime includes examining the role of Internet in the target selection process, child sexual exploitation, and the criminal career of the Internet-sex offender. Recent work appears in Violence and Victims, Aggression and Violent Behavior, Criminal Justice and Behavior, Justice Quarterly, Sexual Abuse: A Journal of Research and Treatment, Journal of Investigative Psychology and Offender Profiling, and Journal of Interpersonal Violence. He is a member of the American Society of Criminology and the Association of Treatment for Sexual Abusers.
