Bio/Research
Dr Bereza has a background in biology, literature, music therapy, palliative care and family medicine. He completed his bioethics studies and his clinical ethics training as a post-doctoral Fellow at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago. Dr Bereza is presently an Associate Professor and Director of the Medical Ethics Program in the Department of Family Medicine.
Dr Bereza is chairman of the Research Ethics Boards of the Montreal Neurological Hospital and Institute and the CLSC Cote-des-Neiges.
Assessment of minimal risk in social science research as it relates to community health care.
Comparative assessment of innovative care versus clinical research with respect to developing proportionate standards of informed consent.
