My research interests are related to the numerical modelling of unsteady high-speed compressible flows, with particular emphasis on unsteady effects.
My general research objectives can be grouped into two major categories: (a) The development of accurate and efficient numerical methods and computer codes specifically tailored for unsteady high-speed multi-dimensional multi-scale flows with spatially-localized features (shock waves, contact surfaces, boundary layers etc.); (b) Their validation and application to a wide range of basic and applied problems (in aerospace propulsion, industrial safety, transportation, mining, various industrial devices operating with the presence of high-speed gas motion, biomedical research, non-destructive testing etc.)
