Dr. Francesca M. Kerton is Associate Professor (Green Chemistry) in the Department of Chemistry at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She received her BSc in Chemistry with Environmental Science at the University of Kent and her PhD in Chemistry at the University of Sussex. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia in Canada and subsequently a lecturer and then Royal Society University Research Fellow at the University of York, UK. The author of Alternative Solvents for Green Chemistry, she has contributed to many books and journal articles. Her research interests involve green chemistry including solvent replacement, catalysis and renewable feedstocks.
