Dr. Arroyas is a co-investigator in the Improvisation, Community and Social Practice research project. Her research focuses on interart relations, the intersections of music and literature and digital adaptations of literary texts.
She is the coordinator of various conferences and cultural events: including Colloque Nouveaux mondes, nouveaux espaces (Toronto, 2010) and the biennial Summer Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation at the University of Guelph (2010 and 2008). Arroyas is also co-editor of two online journals: "Critical Studies in Improvisation"/"Études critiques en improvisation" and "Revue Synergies Canada."
