Dr. Brown’s research program brings a critical perspective to maternal-infant and women’s health care, practice and policy. Her research activities are joined through a focus on ethics and equity in relation to neonatal and maternity care and community health promotion in rural communities. Helen’s current projects span nursing education, neonatal and pediatric end of life care, trauma and social inequity for vulnerable rural women, Indigenous knowledge and community health action.
