Ibrahim Baggili, Ph.D., is the head of the Cyber Forensics Research & Education Group in the Tagliatela College of Engineering, a think-tank for cyber forensic science and security research that provides investigative assistance for law enforcement, intelligence agencies and private corporations.
Baggili, formerly the director of the Advanced Cyber Forensics Research Laboratory) in the College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates, serves on the advisory board for a UK-based company that develops cyber security and digital forensics products, and is a co-founder of Tawilati.com, an online cloud-based, real-time restaurant reservation engine for the Middle East. He and his students recently discovered vulnerabilities in both WHATSAPP and Viber software that affect millions of users and has resulted in news coverage worldwide in more than 11 languages. Baggili has a Ph.D. from Purdue University.
