Dr. Ingrid Johnston is a Professor of English Education and Curriculum Studies in the Department of Secondary Education. She grew up in Britain and South Africa, where she completed a BA and teaching diploma at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Currently she teaches courses in Postcolonial Theories, Issues and Curriculum and English Education. Her research focuses on postcolonial literary studies, multicultural literary education, questions of culture, migration and teacher education.
