I am a professor with the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta. I hold an MSc and PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology.
With my graduate students, I have been researching ways to get more and better data from wireless sensors, given their limited battery power. I have also been studying ways to design accurate simulations, including simulations of how humans move in real-world situations. More recently, I have been looking at ways to integrate sensor data into web-based services and mobile applications, such as augmented reality games.
