Bio/Research

My research focuses on the particle physics/cosmology interface. Recent interests include the top quark forward-backward asymmetry, dark matter (DM) model-building, non-MSSM DM scenarios, direct detection of DM, and aspects of possible DM annihilation in the galaxy. I am also interested in models of electroweak baryogenesis or which strengthen the electroweak phase transition. In the past I have worked on brane-antibrane and other inflation models from string theory, the search for novel features in the inflation power spectrum, indicating possible signals of new physics in the CMB, and implications of the string theory landscape for the cosmological constant problem.
