Before being promoted to director of the Webster University Film Series, James Harrison served as the program coordinator since 2004. He studied film production at Webster University and has over 20 years of experience in the film industry. He has worked with the St. Louis Film Office and the St. Louis film community.
Harrison has been a member of judging panels for the St. Louis International Film Festival Documentary and Shorts programs, 48 Hour Film Festival, and International Documentary Challenge. He has produced, shot, and edited independent documentary films, which have appeared on Higher Eduction Channel (HEC), Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and Discovery Channel.
Harrison has brought a professional background in production, an extensive knowledge of the technology of film, and an enthusiasm and love for the medium to the Webster University Film Series.
