James N. Jensen can speak to members of the media about public water systems, in particular the engineered systems that collect, treat and distribute water to the public.A UB faculty member since 1988, Jensen has extensively studied environmental and water engineering. His research interests include the fundamental chemistry and application of chemical oxidants in natural and engineered systems. His research has been funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, industry and utilities.Jensen is the author of “A User’s Guide to Engineering,” an informal exploration of the world of engineering for future and current engineers, and “A Problem-Solving Approach to Aquatic Chemistry,” a practical textbook about the chemistry of water.
