Bio/Research
Jamol Pender will join the faculty at Cornell in July 2015 as an Assistant Professor in the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering. He received his PhD from the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering at Princeton University in 2013, and his B.S.E and M.S.E in Electrical and Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in 2008. Before coming to Cornell, he was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia University. His research interests include queueing theory, applied probability, Markov processes, control theory, and mathematical finance.
