Dr. Janine Brodie is a distinguished University Professor and Canada Research Chair in Political Economy and Social Governance at the University of Alberta. Before moving to Alberta, Dr. Brodie taught at York University where she held the John Robarts Chair in Canadian Studies and was the Inaugural Director of the York Centre for Feminist Research. She moved to the University of Alberta in 1997 to Chair the Department of Political Science. Dr. Brodie was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 2002, appointed as a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in 2004 (renewed in 2011), awarded a Trudeau Fellowship in 2010, and named as a Distinguished University Professor in 2011.
