My clinical research program includes multicentre trials on many new therapeutic agents for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, and several local research protocols. The multicentre studies include the assessment of various insulin analogues, inhaled insulin for Type 1 and 2 diabetes, prevention of Type 2 diabetes (ORIGIN and NAVIGATOR studies) and studies on the prevention of cardiovascular complications in diabetes (ACCORD, ORIGIN, NAVIGATOR).
