Jean-Pierre Couture is a member of the Observatoire des nouvelles pratiques symboliques (onoups.blogspot.com), the editorial boards of Cahiers de l'idiotie (www.cahiers-idiotie.org) and À Bâbord (www.ababord.org). As a principal investigator, he has received a SSHRC grant (2010-2013) for an interdisciplinary research project entitled "Les revues d'idées au Québec : dynamiques réseautiques, ressources symboliques et conquêtes concurrentielles de l'espace intellectuel (1917-2008)".
