Jennifer Freyd is an academic expert in sexual harassment, campus sexual violence, betrayal trauma, and institutional betrayal. At the University of Oregon, she is a professor of psychology. Jennifer researches the causes and impacts of interpersonal violence. She is currently studying betrayal trauma as it relates to child abuse, sexual harassment, campus sexual violence, institutional betrayal, and institutional courage. Jennifer coined the term DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender), which refers to how perpetrators may respond to a wrong doing.
