Bio/Research

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). Previously, I was a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at Grinnell College. I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy from DePaul University.

I specialize in social and political philosophy, feminist philosophy, critical theory, and Marxism. Particularly, I work on questions related to stability, capitalism, emancipation, revolution, gender and sexuality, as well as Eastern European thought and the Balkans.

I am currently completing my manuscript, Reclaiming Stability: The Dialectic of Stability and Instability, which recovers stability as a revolutionary concept. I am also working on two projects, one on Judith Butler's conception of interdependency and, another, on Maria Lugones' class politics.

I am the co-founder and executive director of the Balkan Society for Theory and Practice, an international research society based in Kosova, and I am research associate for the Society for Women of Ideas.
