Bio/Research
Jie Chen received his BSc degree in electrical engineering from Fudan University, China, and his MSc and PhD degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and an adjunct professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Alberta. He is also a research officer at the National Research Council / National Institute for Nanotechnology, Canada. He has co-authored two books, two book chapters, over 50 peer-reviewed journal papers, over 50 conference proceeding papers, and holds seven patents.
