Bio/Research

Jin Zhang joined the MIT Chinese program in 2000, and has been teaching Chinese language classes at all levels. She has developed Eeb-based Hanyu Pinyin for Mandarin Speakers and Asian Games Village: A Neighborhood in Beijing for Chineselearning.

From 2008 to 2010, she served as coordinator for Chinese at MIT. Outside of MIT, she has taught Chinese at the Princeton in Beijing summer program and the Middlebury College Chinese Summer School in Vermont. Before coming to MIT, Zhang taught English as a foreign language in Beijing, China, and Chinese at Princeton University. She received her MA in translation from Nankai University, Tianjin, China in 1996.
