Dr Parrington is the author of over 70 publications in peer-reviewed science journals, including Nature, Current Biology, Journal of Cell Biology, Development, Developmental Biology, Reproduction, and Human Reproduction.
He is semi-fluent in Portuguese, French, Spanish and Italian, reasonably conversant in German, Polish and Russian, and understands and speaks some Chinese and Japanese.
Media Experience:
News stories about Dr Parrington's work have appeared in diverse media outlets, including BBC, Guardian, Times, and the Daily Star. He has written popular science articles for the Guardian and New Scientist, and comment pieces about education for the Guardian.
During the summer of 2012 he worked for seven weeks full-time as a British Science Association Media Fellow at the Times where he wrote 22 news, feature and comment pieces, 12 of which appeared in print.
