Dr. John Peters is an assistant professor of Political Science at Laurentian University, Sudbury Ontario Canada. Dr. Peters teaches Canadian and Comparative political economy, specializing in labour issues. He is a member of Labour Studies program and one of the general editors of the 'Labour in Canada' series (Fernwood Publishing). He is active in the Sudbury community and formerly a Vice-President of the Sudbury and District Labour Council. Dr. Peters is currently completing a study on the impacts of globalization and labour market deregulation on work and labour movements in Canada, entitled Jobs With Inequality: The Politics of Labour Market Deregulation in Canada (Forthcoming University of Toronto Press).
