Dr. John Veinot is Cardiovascular Pathologist, Director of Anatomical Pathology and Clinical Investigator at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He is Cardiovascular Pathologist and Vice Head of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Veinot is also Vice Chair in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Veinot received his undergraduate training at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and his medical training at Dalhousie Medical School in Halifax. He did a rotating internship at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, a residency in Anatomical Pathology at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and completed a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Veinot has a strong dedication to education. He teaches medical students, cardiology residents, cardiac surgery residents and cardiac nurses, among others.
