Bio/Research

Dr. Davine is interested in the interface between family medicine and psychiatry. He works in the Hamilton-Wentworth HSO Mental Health Program, whereby he liaises with family doctors in the community. He is also interested in the education of family physicians, and is the head of the psychiatric component of the academic Family Medicine- Psychiatry Liaison Program. He teaches behavioural sciences to family practice residents. He is also the co-ordinator and a presenter of a CME program "Psychiatry for Family Physicians" which takes place over one week at the Grandview Inn, near Huntsville, in the Muskokas. he is the co-ordinator of a McMaster CME series "Psychiatry of Family Doctors", delivered on a monthly basis.

Dr. Davine is interested in the education of psychiatric residents, and is an out-patient supervisor and a member of the Postgraduate Education Committee.

Dr. Davine has been a clerkship supervisor and teacher, and co-ordinates of the "Psychiatric Interest Group" for medical students. He is the psychiatric electives co-ordinator for medical students, along with being a student advisor.
