Kate's research interests lie in the materiality of the virtual -- how virtual worlds come to impact our physical worlds, and the overlapping and entangled nature of the two. Specifically, she is interested in how the virtual implicates the physical body, both through representation and through the affective register. Kate produces traditional scholarship as well as creative research, specializing in projection mapping, wearable technology, 2D/3D animation and installation.
