Kathleen FitzPatrick, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Health Sciences, is an Associate Professor of Health Sciences. She teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Human Physiology, Exercise Physiology and Public Health and coordinates the Health Science Internship Program. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Chemistry from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and the Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she also did postdoctoral research in Neurophysiology. She was a research associate at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center-Boston and taught at Lawrence University.
Her recent research interests focus on innovative pedagogies in science education, experiential learning and science education through community engagement and she has published her work in the Journal of College Science Teaching, Advances in Physiology Education and the Science Education and Civic Engagement International Journal. She lives in Lawrence, MA and is a coordinator and member of the Board of Directors of the Bread and Roses community food program.
