Bio/Research

After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1984, Prof. Kerry Lissemore spent a year in mixed veterinary practice in Eastern Ontario. He later returned to the OVC to complete his DVSc graduate degree in Ruminant Health Management. Upon completion he joined the Department of Population Medicine as a faculty member where his area of specialization is dairy production medicine.

Lissemore’s research interests include the development of decision support systems, economic evaluation of herd interventions and identifying diseases and management areas that limit optimal herd performance.

From 2007 to 2018, Lissemore was the Associate Dean, Academic for the College. He continues to teach in the Health Management courses and is on several graduate student research committees.
