Kevin MacDermott is an Instructor and Head Coach of Men’s Rowing in the Department of Athletics and Physical Education. During his three years as head coach, the Men's Rowing team has won three consecutive New England Rowing Championship Team Titles and won ECAC Team Championships in 2010 and 2012. From 2010-2011, Kevin was the Head Coach of the United States Men's Junior National Team, responsible for coordinating all aspects of team selection and system development. In August 2011, he led the team to the World Rowing Junior Championships held at Eton Dorney, UK which seved as the rowing venue for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Before his promotion to Head Coach, Kevin served as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Men’s Rowing at Trinity from 2006-2009. During his three seasons as Assistant Coach, Kevin helped guide five crews to medal-winning performances at the New England Championships. Kevin also holds the position of Senior Associate Director of Sculling at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, a world-renowned organization that promotes outdoor activities. Prior to his work at Trinity, Kevin was the Assistant Coach of Men’s Rowing at Wesleyan University from 2002-2006.
