In chemistry, my research interests generally involve "extreme chemistry", which is chemistry that occurs under microscopic conditions of high temperature and/or pressure. This interest started with photochemistry and picosecond fswwlash photolysis. Now, I'm working in sonochemistry, which uses power ultrasound to induce radical mediated chemical change in liquids.
My research activities extend to the realm of education. I am researching the use of online whiteboards and other educational technology to facilitate distance education.
