Leanna Boychenko received her Ph.D. in May 2013 from Yale University. Her dissertation, “Callimachus’ Book of Hymns: Poet, Narrator, Voice,” is a study of narrative throughout Callimachus’ six hymns, which she analyzes as a single poetry book. Besides Greek poetry, her interests include the interaction between Greek, Roman, and Egyptian literature and civilization, narratology, and hymns. After spending a semester as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Williams College, she is thrilled to be teaching the Ancient Novel and Family, Law, and Society in Ancient Rome at Trinity this spring.
