Dr. Leora Swartzman is an associate professor and undergraduate chair and outreach coordinator with the Psychology Department of Western University.
Dr. Swartzman is interested in conducting research examining the additive and interactive effect of these three elements (knowledge/beliefs, emotions and values) in predicting health care decisions and adherence. Currently, these issues are being explored within the context of asthma and chronic heart failure, but may be applied to a wide range of health conditions.
