Professor Orman specializes in Information Technology Management. He has taught courses and written articles on electronic commerce, database management, and decision support systems. His articles appeared in a variety of journals ranging from Information Systems, ACM Transactions on MIS, and IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, to MIS Quarterly, Journal of MIS, and Electronic Commerce Research. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Information Technology and Management. He is the author of Technology and Its Discontents: The Deadly Embrace of Technology and Society. Professor Orman is currently working on electronic commerce and social networks.
