Lisa Dadio, is a retired law enforcement officer from the city of New Haven with twenty years of experience. Dadio retired at the rank of Lieutenant, and spent the majority of her career in the detective division. She worked as a detective in the Narcotics Unit, the Criminal Intelligence Unit, the Sexual Assault and Bias Crime Unit and the Bureau of Identification (crime scene unit). As a Sergeant, she was second in charge and then became in charge of the Family Services Division. This division investigated juvenile related crimes, missing persons, domestic violence, child abuse, child death, sexual assaults, protection order compliance and bias related incidents. At the rank of Sergeant and then Lieutenant, she became second in charge and then Officer in Charge of the Major Crime Division. She supervised officers, Sergeant's and Detectives in the Major Crime Unit, Financial Crime Unit, the Robbery and Burglary Unit, the Firearms Unit, the Arson Unit, the Fugitive Task Force, the Statewide and Federal Task Forces, the Bureau of Identification and the Auto Theft Unit. Dadio then served as the Executive Officer for the Chief of Police and as a Shift Commander in the Patrol division as a Lieutenant. She attended numerous training and conferences throughout her career, as well as obtaining two Master’s degrees; one in Forensic Science with a specialization in Advanced Criminal Investigation and the other in Social Work with a specialization in Children and Families. Dadio was a certified instructor with the Police Officer Standards and Training Council for the state of Connecticut. For several years, she instructed police recruits and veteran police officers in the fields of Sexual Assault, Bias and Hate Crime, Domestic Violence, Criminal Investigation, Child Abuse/Death, Criminal Procedures, Crime Scene Processing, Crime Scene Photography and several other areas of specialization. Dadio was also a fellow with the Yale Child Study Child Development/Community Policing Program.
