To understand the adoption of communication skills, practice tools, and innovations with the aim of enhancing patient-centred care in community pharmacy practice.
Dr Guirguis's expertise in the behavioural sciences and experience in community pharmacy underpins her work in four main areas: health outcomes research, survey measurement, health communication, and medication taking behaviours. Her pharmacy practice research has focused on how to help pharmacists adopt feasible programs related to monitoring and counselling patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes.
