I am very interested in reducing injuries in all age groups and in all at-risk populations: Aboriginals, workers, drivers, youth and seniors.
Currently, I am involved in several knowledge translation projects. The main initiative involves highlighting the dangers and reducing the use of electronic gadgets while operating motorized vehicles.
I am engaged in hands-on public health advocacy through the Coalition for Cellphone Free Driving. This graduate student lead initiative was started several years ago and has grown into one of Canada's most active and well respected advocacy organizations in injury prevention. The Coalition has developed a solid base of funding and support from industry and funding agencies.
