She developed the Journalism School’s curriculum on covering children’ issues while serving as director of the school’s Prudential Fellowship for Children and the News, a mid-career program dedicated to improving media coverage of child and family policies. She is the author of Hands to Work: The Stories of Three Families Racing the Welfare Clock.
