My major research interests are concerned with the mathematical and physical modelling of metallurgical and chemical processes with particular reference to the application of advanced computational fluid dynamics and associated heat and mass transfer phenomena.

At present, in collaboration with my graduate students, research is being carried out in the following areas: Bubble dynamics and applications of Ultrasound; casting and solidification processes; microsegregation and solidification; CVD, MOCVD and MCVD reactors design; convection in nanofluids; thermal energy storage in phase change materials (PCM); free-surface flow modeling.
