My main area of interest is pediatric diabetes. My research has focused on the study of behavioral interventions that improve both metabolic control of diabetes and the quality of life in young people and their parents. Preventing type 2 diabetes in high risk youth is a more recent scholarly interest. I have developed practice-based research networks in nursing.
