The history and theory of digital art, cybernetics in the 1950’s and 1960’s with attention to its repercussions for later art and theory; feminist art and technology, artificial life art and the aesthetics of interaction and responsiveness. Integrating media theory with postcolonial and feminist theory as well as investigating the interrelations of Latin American art and modern technologies (mechanical, electronic, digital and imaginary) are longstanding and ongoing commitments.
