Matias Iaryczower's research is in the field of Positive Political Theory. His work uses Game Theory and Quantitative Methods to explore how different institutions affect collective decision-making in committees (legislatures, courts) and electorates. He has published in the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, and the Quarterly Journal of Political Science. His current research topics include comparing bureaucrats and politicians, the value of information in Congress and the Court, and the interaction between ideology and campaign expenditures in alternative electoral systems.
