While I have a broad array of research interests, my primary efforts are focused on better understanding the mechanisms by which individuals learn to understand speech or other sounds. I also develop new tools or tests which audiologists can use to maximize outcomes with recipients of cochlear implants. I also investigate methods to facilitate language development in hearing-impaired children. Finally, I am interested in exploring treatments for individuals who suffer from tinnitus.
