Bio/Research

Professor Bujaki has received a number of grants to support various research activities, including SSHRC funding for her Accounting History of the Rideau Canal project, and for early projects on the Content Analysis of Annual Reports.

Professor Bujaki has published in academic journals and professional magazines, including: Journal of Accounting Literature; Women in Management Review; CAmagazine; CMA Management; Accounting Perspectives; Canadian Journal of Administrative Studies; Gender in Management: An International Journal; Accounting History, and Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal.

Professor Bujaki has been active in academic leadership and executive roles, serving previously on the board of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association, on the executive and collective bargaining team for the Association of Professors of the University of Ottawa, and on the executive committee of the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.

Professor Bujaki has taught Auditing Theory, Advanced Auditing, Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cases in Accounting, Gender Issues in Management, and the History of Management Thought. Professor Bujaki has taught in undergraduate, MBA, EMBA and professional programs. Professor Bujaki has written a number of accounting cases for in-class and professional use, and developed professional programs for various clients.

In addition, Professor Bujaki has taught in Sprott’s Management Development Program for Women, and she has served for many years as a Case Reviewer and Seminar Leader for the Institute of Chartered Accountant’s of Ontario’s School of Accountancy. She previously also served as an Examiner for CGA Canada.

Professor Bujaki was the Welch LLP’s Accounting Program Fellow from 2007-2010, has supervised more than 30 graduate student projects, and consults with organizations in the local community.
