Dr. Grotewiel is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Webster University, where she teaches a variety of courses related to psychological research and measurement as well as mental health and development. She holds a Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2016) and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Iowa Student Counseling Service (2015-16). She also holds an MA in Counseling & Guidance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and BAs in Psychology and Creative Writing from Missouri State University. Current research has been on the experience of flow (i.e., being “in the zone” and performing at one’s best) among college students. She is also actively involved in research and leadership related to women’s health and well-being; she serves as the Newsletter Editor and Website Editor for the Section for the Advancement of Women within the Division of Counseling Psychology and serves as a Consulting Editor for Psychology of Women Quarterly.
