Bio/Research

Moyez B. Ladhani, MD, FRCP, FAAP is an Associate Professor at McMaster University. He did his MD at the University of Toronto, followed by a residency in Family Medicine at University of Toronto and a residency in pediatrics at The IWK Hospital, Dalhousie University; He is the Deputy Chief, Division of General Pediatrics. He is the Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program. He also is the chair of the student advisor program for the undergraduate MD program. Clinically, Dr. Ladhani is a Consultant Pediatrician, mainly providing service on the CTU, runs an outpatient consultant practice and supervises the senior resident clinic.

Dr. Ladhani has been involved in many program, development and search committees. Currently he chairs numerous committees, his main focus being on medical education and CME activities. He sits on two exam boards, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Pediatric Exam Board (OSCE) and is the Vice-Chair for the Medical Council of Canada Evaluation Exam Pediatric Test Committee. He is a regular examiner for pediatric residency program and is an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Pediatric Exams. Dr. Ladhani is chair of the Canadian Pediatric Program Directors. He is on the advisory board for the Royal College Practice Eligibility Route to Certification. As the Pediatric Program director Dr. Ladhani has seen the residency program double in size and has brought numerous changes to the residency program making it a sought after program. As Deputy Chief, Dr. Ladhani helped develop a comprehensive 4 team CTU model and has helped create numerous CME activities for the regional pediatricians. He has organized and chaired the Practical Pediatrics conference since 2000. He is on the planning committee for the Current Concept in Pediatrics and Practical Neonatology conferences.
