Dr. Potter’s basic research, in collaboration with Dr. Harald Stöver and Dr. Gonzalo Hortelano, centres on using implanted microencapsules containing engineered cells for medical therapeutic applications (see Microencapsulation Gene Therapy).
Dr. Potter’s clinical research encompasses the development of new/improved diagnostic and monitoring tests for inborn errors of metabolism as well as clinical trials testing new therapies for inborn errors of metabolism.
