Nadine Wathen is an Associate Professor in the LIS Program in the Faculty of Information & Media Studies at The University of Western Ontario. She is also Coordinator of Western's new Joint Graduate Program in Health Information Science.
Nadine's research examines women’s health decision-making, including intervention research in the area of violence against women and children; projects to translate and mobilize research evidence in women’s health to policy and practice, and projects on how people seek and use health information.
Her teaching interests involve educating future health information professionals and scholars. Nadine teaches courses in in the LIS and HIS programs on evidence-based health care methods and searching for health-releated evidence; the role of information and information professionals in the health care system; and research methods.
