Bio/Research

DR DURDLE has twenty years experience in the areas of biomedical engineering and medical applications for computers. Early in his career he was a Clinical Biomedical Engineer. He worked as a Director of the Biomedical Engineering Department of the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax and served as a biomedical consultant to hospitals in Halifax, St. John's, Toronto, Brampton and Mississauga. His research work has included computer processing of physiological images, development of miniaturized blood flow transducers, radioisotope imaging, the development of better AgCl electrodes and the development of instrumentation for the acquisition and processing of signals from the gastrointestinal tract. He has developed a number of microprocessor instruments for medical data acquisition and signal processing.
