Norma Rueda is a professor in the Department of Mathematics. She received a Licentiate in Mathematics from the Universidad Nacional del Sur, Argentina, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Florida State University. Dr. Rueda was a recipient of the college’s Edward G. Roddy Outstanding Teacher Award.

Her research areas include mathematical programming and applied statistics. She received a Fulbright Scholarship to lecture and conduct research in Argentina in 1998. Dr. Rueda has served as foreign examiner of Ph. D. theses and reviewer for various journals and conference proceedings from Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A. Among the courses taught by Prof. Rueda are Basic Statistics, Probability and Statistics, and directed studies in Applied Linear Regression, Multivariate Statistics, and Operations Research.
